Spare Change Equals HUGE RESULTS 

This was a fundraiser at the Garnet Valley High School.  Students from Club GOMAD made change buckets and delivered them to their classrooms.  At the beginning of a class, the teachers passed the change buckets around and collected over $165.00 in just 12 days!  Below you will see a picture of the goods that were purchased and brought back the GVHS!

Co-Presidents, Jared and Lauren are getting the coins counted.  They had 2 helpers, Michael and Rocco Simone!  Over $165 in coins were counted!

Here are a few purchased items from the Dominican Republic.  These items were all hand crafted by villagers from the Village of Asencion.  Items are made out of leaves, vines, bottle caps, porcelain, canvas, and wood.

Christmas Symbols

One main symbol in most homes during the holiday season is a Christmas Tree.  Below is a video of a Tree Farm.  On the farm, you have the opportunity to pick out and cut down your own Christmas Tree.

Introduction to Club GOMAD

GOMAD -- Go Out and Make a Difference!

We are from Garnet Valley High School located in Glen Mills, PA.  Our newly formed club, GOMAD, is a student organization dedicated to helping others in need, both locally and internationally!  The club grew out of Philanthropic work in Villa Ascension located in the Dominican Republic.

Most of Club GOMAD focuses on establishing a relationship with the villagers that go to school in order to help them improve their English skills to enable them to go out and get jobs.

Our club supports them by donating time to support specific needs such as: practicing an English conversation, and introducing people to what life is like in and out of the Garnet Valley community.

The Christmas Season

The majority of our students celebrate Christmas this winter.  One way you celebrate Christmas is to hand out Christmas Cards to your friends and family during the Winter (mostly during the month of December)
